the Impact of relief
emergency relief meals for lesvos
Many children and families stranded in the refugees camps in Lesvos have not eaten a decent meal in months. While the Greek government provides dry noodles, these meals lack nutrition and taste. Our team has been delivering healthy meals to refugees in the camps to ensure they have nutritious food to sustain themselves during this difficult time in their life.
It only costs $7.50 to provide a refugee with a meal. You can share your humanity and impact a life today by giving to provide meals for refugees. 100% of your donation will be used to purchase food for those stranded in the camps.
our response to the Camp Moria fires
Shared Humanity launched an immediate emergency response for those impacted and displaced by the fires in Camp Moria.
Camp Moria is the largest refugee camp in Europe and it has been completely destroyed after massive fires broke out on Tuesday at the overcrowded site on Greece's Lesbos island.
Thousands of asylum seekers were left homeless after fleeing for their lives as a huge fire ripped through the entire migrant facility. The refugee camp is home to an estimated 13,000 people, more than six times its maximum capacity of 2,200 people. More than 4,000 children, including 407 unaccompanied minors.
Shared Humanity worked with refugee-led teams on the ground to deliver packages of food, water, baby milk and diapers directly to families and their children. As little as $150 was able to get a family what they needed for the week. Thank you to those who donated and shared their humanity with those who needed it most.
